Promote a culture of sound governance and expand socio-economic development. Thus PIDO is an agent for change, promotion of the culture for sound governance and soci-economic development.

ABOUT US

People’s Initiative Development Organization (PIDO) was first founded under the name WUNDA “Western Upper Nile Development Action” in 2005 and legally registered in the year 2009. Due to nation-wide demand, the Organization expanded in its strategic objectives and geographical coverage in the Republic of South Sudan and beyond.

THEMATIC AREAS

At present, PIDO works in the following thematic areas:

Education

• Training of teachers on school management and administration. • Distribution of school learning materials such as textbooks, chalkboards, pens, pencils, • Construction of the school classes, school pit latrines, school fences and offices for the teachers, • Drilling of boreholes

Peace Building

• Advocating on peace building among the communities and reconcile conflicting communities
• Encouraging social cohesion and peaceful co-existent by mitigating their different through conflict resolution.

Agriculture (Livestock, Fisheries and Poultry)

• Training of cattle keepers on proper keeping of the animals and avoid conflict,
• cattle raiding and theft Providing animals vaccination on annual basis
